Terms of Reference (Revised 4 September 2012 in response to ongoing changes - due for review Summer 2013.) 
The Primary Care Librarians Group is a special interest group of LIHNN.

Purpose of the group is to:
Share ideas and best practice to establish common standards and a co-ordinated approach to the delivery of primary care library services across the north-west.

Role of the group:
  • To identify and carry out work projects that will enhance primary care library services.
  • To identify and implement co-operative ways for cost-effective purchasing of resources.
  • To keep up to date on regional and national primary care developments and evidence based initiatives that could improve and enhance the provision of primary care library services.
  • To identify and implement ways of exploiting e-resources and technology to support the delivery of primary care outreach services.
Administrative arrangements
  • The Chair of the group will be chosen by the group and reviewed annually.
  • Minute taking will be rotated between members of the group.
  • The group will meet quarterly and use the Primary Care Email Group to communicate in between meetings.
