Welcome to the NWOPAC Group page

The NW Online Public Access Catalogue (NWOPAC) Group is a standing group of LIHNN.

Its purpose is to manage the NWOPAC and liaise with the current supplier (OCLC) and its support staff to ensure library staff have access to an up-to-date NW catalogue.

The main objectives of the group are to:

  • Provide leadership in the preparation, maintenance and functionality of the NWOPAC.
  • Ensure timely delivery of the NWOPAC to participating library services in LIHNN.
  • Investigate national and international developments in the area of shared catalogues, and to implement those developments where appropriate.
  • Undertake user surveys to highlight issues of usability with the NWOPAC, and to act to improve those issues that arise.
  • Communicate with LIHNN colleagues all developments and changes of practice relating to the NWOPAC.
