Next Bulletin: The next bulletin will be published on the 15 April 2019

Library Managers Meeting We are very much looking forward to our next Northern Library Managers’ Meeting in sunny Newcastle in July. We have Sue Lacey Bryant coming to lead a workshop on the implications of the Topol Review for LKS in the North and nationally. We will have much more information on the new Quality Improvement Outcomes and an opportunity to meet up with colleagues from across the North to network and learn.
Please book your place here. We would be very grateful if you could book your place early to avoid issues with room size late in the day.

UHMLG Summer Conference Hot on the heels of our highly successful Spring Forum, UHMLG are pleased to announce that bookings are now open for our Summer Residential Conference to be held here at Teesside University, Middlesbrough on 27th-28th June. https://uhmlg19.eventbrite.co.uk The theme of the conference is “Failing to Succeed – How to Learn From Failure” Nobody likes to fail but learning from our mistakes is one of the most powerful lessons. And learning from other people’s mistakes can be reassuring, rewarding and rich in benefits. The best leaders allow their team space to experiment, but this can also mean permission to fail – how can we help build resilience in ourselves and others to survive and thrive after failure? More details on the programme soon, but the event includes a 1/2 day workshop led by Andy Priestner. Cost: £150 including meals and overnight accommodation. Follow @UHMLG on Twitter
